In 1952, it was upgraded to the Uttaradit Highway District. The office was located on Pracha Nimit Road, Tha It Subdistrict, Mueang District, Uttaradit Province, with a total area of ​​21 rai and 22 square wah. Later, in 1993, the administrative structure was divided into two highway districts. The Uttaradit Highway District 1 controlled routes in the southern and western areas of Uttaradit Province, according to the Ministerial Regulation on the Division of Administrative Structures, Department of Highways, Ministry of Transport, B.E. 2558 (2015). It was announced in the Royal Gazette and changed to Uttaradit Highway District 1, Highway Office 5 (Phitsanulok).
